How much does it cost to become a franchisee?
A Safety Guy franchise is R12 500 during the Early Bird Offer. From 1 September 2020 the normal selling price will be R16 500.
Do I need to have experience to join?
No, once you have a qualification, you are a safety guy. The experience comes with time and we are here to assist you.
I have a ASHEPP Certificate. Do I qualify?
Yes, the Advanced Safety and Health Principles and Practices Certificate is regarded as a Vocational Qualification in South Africa. You may however not become a franchisee.
I want to start my own business but I am not a Safety Guy. What now?
You are only limited to become a franchisee. You may not practice as a Safety Guy, but there are many Safety practitioners looking for work. If you have management, marketing and financial skills, you are the ideal person to head up a franchise in your area.
I am a Safety Specialist. Does that count?
Yes, The Safety Guy is anyone who works in the Safety field, from aviation safety to public safety to occupational safety to safety engineering as well as fire safety, electrical safety and maritime safety. The Safety Guy offers a home for all safety practitioners, regardless of experience.
I am working for my employer as a SHE Rep. Can I join?
No. The Safety Guy is only for people who works in Safety as advisors or consultants and who would like to be part of a team that shares a common goal. It is not a part-time job as you will be investing in your own business. If you have a job, keep it! Working as a Safety Guy is not an easy task. It take a lot of commitment and dedication.
Do you offer financing or a start-up loan?
No, the investment required is low enough to make it affordable. If you have to take out a loan to start, you will not make it past the first 12 months.
